Exploring the Public Service Oral Test

This information session is for anyone wanting to better understand the Test of Oral Proficiency administered by the Public Service Commission of Canada. We cover all aspects of the test, such as the key differences between a level B and a level C, your testing options, as well as essential tips to help you succeed. You will also have access to authentic oral testing scenarios and useful online preparation tools.

Exploring the Public Service Written Tests

This information session is for anyone wanting to explore the two writing tests administered by the Public Service Commission of Canada: Reading Comprehension and Written Expression. We cover all aspects of both tests, such as preparation techniques, the assessment process and the key differences between levels. You will also have access to practice questions and tests simulation.

Hosting a Bilingual Meeting

The objective of this presentation is to provide the tools to enable you to effectively chair your management and team meetings in both official languages. We consider all aspects of chairing a bilingual meeting, such as the notice of meeting, the agenda, supporting documents as well as presentation techniques. You will also have access to examples of authentic documents and useful checklists.

Language Teaching
in the Public Service

Looking to start a language training program for Public Service in your area? Our team of qualified trainers will be happy to help! This session is specifically designed for Adult Learning Centres and Language Teachers interested in expanding their clientele, but have limited access to training in their region. We cover all aspects of language learning in the public service, from language requirements to second language evaluations and coaching techniques. Your teachers will have access to useful training material and pedagogical resources, language practice tests as well as online tools in order to insure their learners’ success.

  • Duration of approximately 3 hours
  • Minimum of 4 participants required
  • Additional fee for trainer’s traveling and lodging costs
